Asset Overview

Built in the 19th century by the Nazaretian Family during the Ottoman times in the city of Aintab (Gazinantep, Turkey), this model features the house's balcony, a women's salon, and the Office of Kara Nazar (AKA Nazar Agha) who served as the ambassador of Persia and vice consul of the US. Nowadays, the house hosts the [Papirus Cafe](https://goo.gl/maps/HQFk8C5VEMqnVmU49). I visited the house in 2022 with a local historian Murad Ucaner who gave an incredible walkthrough of the house, its history and its aftermath in the context of the Armenian genocide. You can watch it on my Youtube channel - https://youtu.be/mMHs9DEYwm4 This photogrammetry scan was made with 900 images captured with a handheld Sony A7rii and processed with RealityCapture. The model is scaled 1:1.
