#Kungssalen / The King's Hall
The King’s Hall is the most elaborated of the halls in Läckö Castle. It celebrates the Swedish King
Gustav II Adolf, who was celebrated as a hero during the 17th century. The king was considered by
many to have taken Sweden to becoming one of the great powers of Europe. The wall panels in the King’s Hall are decorated
with paintings showing famous battles from the Thirty Years’ War, in which King Gustav II
Adolf fought and where Sweden won. There are also portraits of the generals that were significant in
these battles.
