Asset Overview
Few fishing ships in Dutch history have as long a lineage as the Hoogaars. Invented in the inland delta of the Southern Lowlands at the end of the middle ages. This ship was exceptionally well designed for the shallow waters and the moving tides.
The flat bottom allows it to lay dry with low tide, allowing the fishermen to collect buckets of mussels, which they then bring back home when the tide rises again. This particular boat the older sprit design for rigging, which later, in several variants of the boat turned into a gaff design.
The boat was just small enough to be rowed if the wind was lacking, two men with oars on either sides and some good old muscle power.
The model is packed with high resolution pbr textures, ready to be used in modern games or film projects. Additional custom sail poses or higher resolution textures available on demand, reach out to me for more information on that.
