This Viking Longship is based on the Skuldelev 5 wreck found near Skuldelev, Denmark, and it's reconstruction by the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum called the 'Helge Ask'. The original ship was built in 1030 CE in Denmark and was roughly 17 meters long. It was sunk sometime around 1070 CE along with the other four ships found at Skuldelev to block off a navigable channel in the Roskilde Fjord. Due to its relatively small size, it was probably only meant for coastal sailing. A crew of 30 men was probable.
