*Homarus americana* St369 01 Carapace showing level 1 Epizootic Shell Disease (ESD) caught in a bottom trawl from Spring 2019 NOAA NE Groundfish Survey in the Gulf of Maine. This is perhaps the most minimal expression of ESD level 1 which is something more than nothing but less than 10 percent of the carapace surface covered with a lesion.
