Asset Overview

**Funerary ensemble of the lady Tairkap** Central components of the burial of the lady Tairkap (TꜢ-ỉ.ỉr-kꜢp), consisting of her mummy, a flat canopic chest, and two coffins, both of anthropoid shape. While the small canopic chest is of an unusual type, the two coffins are typical examples of their place and time, i.e. Thebes in the 7th century BCE. At a closer look, however, their textual decoration shows some features that have no direct parallel to this day. They thereby testify to the high degree of diversity in choice, arrangement, and modification of traditional elements of decoration which makes each set of funerary equipment individual. The funerary ensemble was brought to Berlin in 1822 as parts of the collection of Johann von Minutoli, together with the comparable one of Pestjenfi (ÄM 50–54), probably a close relative of Tairkap. **Inv. **Berlin, Ägyptisches Museum, ÄM 3–6: **Hardware:** Nikon D750 **Software:** Agisoft Metashape, Substance Designer, Blender
