RSS Kracken

The RSS Kracken was Svensbergs very first Ironclad warship laid down in 4454 and launched only a year later. The purpose of Kracken was to replace the aging fleets of scrap that comprised mostly of sailing ships of the line, and to be the catalyst of the next generation of warships. Her first priority was to patrol the new world colonial coasts to sink slavers, which resulted in many being sunk as no sailboat or steamer could outpace the kracken no matter how hard they tried. Once peace began being threatened on the main continent Kracken was sent out with 5 of her sister ships back to the main islands. Eventually when war broke out on the main continent Svensberg entered on the side of the Norse Empire. A series of major naval enguagements ensue with the Kracken taking minor damage. When the war ended the Kracken returned to terrorising pirates and slavers until in 1500 when she was sold for scrap.
