The Lutefisk Class light cruiser was designed for a warship design contest, where I had to design a class of light cruisers with a total maximum tonnage of 16000 tonnes for any nation of my choosing. I chose Norway as in 1914 Norways navy was kind of a blank slate, so a light cruiser such as this may have fitted their needs should ww1 break out and they get dragged ito it. The overall concept was to create a class of 4 multi role cruisers with a max weight of 4000 tonnes each, have enough firepower and armour to challenge other light cruisers, and carry mines to make life interesting for battleships and such. The mines would obviously be laid in advance at a port or at a choke point. Whilstt hey could only travel at 25 knots, it was enough as the ship had to be made very stable for arctic waters.
