SCS Nixie

The Nixie class of coastal defence ships were built for Searadias coastal defence force in 1890, with the aim to have 5 coastal bombardment ships in the navy. As such 5 were built between 1890- 1893 and were placed into the coastal defence squadronsl. The name of the vessel comes from shape shifting water spirits who would play an enchanted violin to lure out his victims into the water, where they would drown them. However one could bargen with one by spilling a drop of blood, an animal or some expensive alchohol. The Nix could shapeshift between his primary form, a man and a white horse, depending on how it wanted to lure in its next victim. The Nixie class have a displacement of 3000 tonnes and a top speed of 14 knots. Armour wise the main citadel is 80mm thick with a 90mm deck, with 20mm of splash protection at either end. The ships would only last for 20 years before being scrapped.
