HNOMS Skarv is a 2. Class torpedo boat built for the Norwegian navy in 1906.The first part of her existance was fairly quite, however she would see most if not all of her action in world war 2. The first action she would see was the Altmark incident where the German tanker Altmark, carrying British prisoners of war had been intercepted inside Norwegian waters and boarded several times, and after the last boarding was escorted by Kjell and Skarv, until whey were in turn intercepted by HMS Cossack and 2 other destroyers. There was quite a bit of back and forth with the Norwegians being unhappy about the boarding of the Altmark, however there were no live shots fired between the 2 partys and the Altmark was boarded after being ran aground. She would also participate in the capture of Egersund, being captured by the Germans, however vital maps and important documents were destoryed before the could fall into German hands. Skarv would serve out the remainder of her career until being sunk or scrapped in the 1940's
