RSS Centurion

RSS Centurion was Svensbergs first all steel armoured battleship being launched in November 4485 and completed a year later. She was first placed in the Home fleet during which she would defend the home islands from various invasions over the years. As by this point the colonisation of the new world was getting underway and competition of the various precious resources often led to tensions boiling over to war. Her armour whilst being immensly thick at 450mm belt armour and 400mm turret armour, was much "softer" than later armour varients due to steel armour metallurgy understanding being in its infancy. She also retained the older round turrets from the last Ironclads as they were easier and cheaper to make and still performed well enough. Her engines produced 14,200 hp and allowed her to reach 18 knots, but for normal operations she often traveled at 10 knots.
