RSS Thunder

RSS Thunder is a super carrier built for the Svensberg navy in 4547. She and 4 other super carriers would be laid down at the start of the last colonial war beginning in 4541 and finished 6 years later.super carriers were chosen over normal sized carriers as the larger hanger size allowed for more aircraft to be stored, but also it meant they could absorb allot more damage using compartments,despite the limited armour.The carriers also had the benefit of being future proof in many ways,as the new jets coming into service meant traditional propeller driven fighters could be replaced with jet fighters,but also the steam turbines could be replaced with nuclear propulsion,and their sheer size meant they lasted right into the modern era.The carriers entered service in 4547 in the final years of the war, and the huge hanger capacity and modern radar systems proved their worth early on,helping score a number of tactital victories. The war eventualy ended in 4550 with the end of colonialism and the nuclear era began.
