Fixed Human Heart Donation

This is a fixed human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 60 year old female with a history of smoking, COPD, high cholesterol, and aortic stenosis. The donor also had hypothyroidism and hormonal replacement therapies. The heart was filled with foam for scanning to show the realistic shape of being partially filled.
